MY STORY

My journey into music began in 2002, but the seeds were planted long before that. Growing up, my friends and I would jam on guitars, often playing cover songs. While I learned a few, I always felt a pull toward creating something original—something that was mine. Songwriting became my way of expressing what words couldn’t.

In 1995, my family faced a tragedy that changed everything. A highway accident involving a semi-truck took the lives of my grandma, aunt, and cousin. The loss left a deep scar, and my parents, grappling with their own grief, decided to temporarily take me out of school. Looking back, I understand they were trying to protect me, but it also brought a lot of isolation. While my friends were at school, I was home, and that’s when music became my lifeline. Picking up an instrument and writing songs gave me a way to process the world I felt disconnected from.

On my 13th birthday, my parents got me a Line 6 TonePort UX2 with a free version of Ableton. We didn’t have much money, but they believed in me enough to make it happen. That gift became my gateway into recording and producing music. During those tough years, music wasn’t just a hobby—it was my anchor, my purpose.

Later, I pursued formal education in music production at Berklee College of Music, diving deep into Pro Tools and honing my craft. Since then, I’ve taken on freelance projects and continued to produce music, always driven by the belief that music isn’t just something I do—it’s part of who I am. My songs are born from real experiences, from loss and resilience, and through my unique production skills, I craft them deeply to connect with others who might feel the same.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that even in the hardest moments, creativity can be a light. And for me, that light has always been music.
